This week’s Adobe Flash issue brought up a good point made by Susan Bradley, http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/SMBManagedServices/message/20020, MSP providers shouldn’t be waiting for an exploit to decide and patch. The latest release of Flash was released by Adobe nearly a month ago.

Adobe has confirmed the Flash vulnerability is real, link.
You should use the Adobe Flash removal tool to remove all previous versions, link (make sure all browsers are closed.)
You should then install the latest release of Adobe Flash, link.

Java has released a new client update 1.6.0_06-b02, clicking check for updates from within the Java control panel applet will not properly check for this new revision.
So uninstall all previous releases of the Java client then proceed to this link, to download the latest release.

A severe Adobe Flash flaw is being reported for the following revisions:
9.0.115.0
9.0.124.0 (this is the latest revision available at Adobe.com)
Adobe is aware of the report and looking into the issue, follow this site to see the outcome and if an update is released.

A lot of folks out there aren’t happy with Windows Vista and as a result are waiting for Windows 7. These are the same folks who hated XP, swore by Windows 2000, and said they’d wait for Vista.
